Meeting town speaker Wiston in his thoughts.

Crowd control

After the battle with chimera and the warband, tens of civilians, later hundreds, gathered around the heroes and started to ask questions. Dulcimer made quite a performance, stressing the dire situation the town is in. It took most of the afternoon to clear out from the crowd.

Speaker Wiston joined the happening. As the strength of the enemy is still unclear, to most, a special scouting party was sent towards The Witchwood, including the Speaker himself.

The scouting party finally catch up with an ettin and a dozen or so goblin pioneers. The battle didn't last long, with Nix and Lestra working on the giant and Dulcimer and Alistar handling the masse. By the end of the evening, everyone were back in the Drellins' Ferry. No sight of a great enemy, but surely something is out there.

Deeper meanings or just indecisiveness

Somehow, on the next day, at Wistons home, the heroes managed to make a scene where Dulcimer was able to cast a thought-detecting spell in the speakers sight, and get away with that. The spell revealed, that

• Wiston is a lawful bureaucrat
• which means he knows he needs to make a decision, but he will not make it without town council meeting
• Wiston believes in teamwork: the best decision is the one that all or at least most will agree
• Iormel worries Wiston: as a person he is quite dominant and
• Wiston is sure Iormel will stand against the evacuation, because he owns a lot of land and property here
