Overview
A dinner with a giant, return to the Drellin's Ferry.
The Venerable Witchwood Dweller
Voknal was tied to a tree and left alone. At the effigy you took the path to west this time and ended up on a footsteps of an old giant fortress. The walls were made of wood (whole trees) and they were covered with moss and foliage. At the center of the yard a trail of smoke was rising, from a dire boar cooking (full boar).
Dulcimer got closer and befriended the sole giant with his musical and verbal skills. After a chat the giant decided to believe you are not evil humies and after showing him the old battle gauntlet of his former friend, you were invited to share the dinner.
You had quite a conversation with Warklegnaw, with local lore and his views of the world. In the end, you got him convinced that he is actually needed again, that his help is welcome and he should contact the other lost giants in the mountains. He promised to catch you up in the Drellin's Ferry, to help you against the Red Hand.
With the reputation of the fearsome giant with you, you had a good nights sleep in the ancient giant fortress before heading back to the town. Next day, Alistairs hawk helped you a big deal, allowing you to perceive groups both ahead and after you on the Dawn's Way. It seemed that the Red Hand has started to gather groups on this side of the gorge, even though you destroyed the bridge.
When the warband ahead of you turned to Vraath Keep, you decided to rush straight to Drellin's Ferry to meet the town people.
Heroes Arrive
Drelling's Ferry was waiting for you. You reached the town just after sunset. When they got you on sight, everyone seemed to suddenly know who you are. "The Speaker wants to meet you", they said. A member of the Town Guard adviced you to go to the Old Bridge Inn, where they would ask the speaker to arrive.
Kellin welcomed you and arranged a table in the cabinet. Captain Soranna arrived almost immediately, greeting you with a nod. The Town Speaker Wiston arrived in a while, with the stablemaster Delora Zann. Wiston asked Kellin to clear the area of ordinary townsfolk, so that you could share the news.
You told the stories twice: first to Wiston, Soranna and Zann, then later to Kellin. You told about everything save the deed and the dragonshard hoard. This is the main outcome of hearing these stories, for each of the listener:
Town Speaker Wiston
- not convinced that there is an army out there
- sorry, very sorry, about the fact that you took down the Skull Gorge Bridge
- will not subdue the Town Guard under your command
- wants to rest for a night before making any decisions
Captain Soranna
- seems to believe you
- doesn't look alarmed
- understands that an army like that will be unstoppable by the Town Guard
- will not cross the Speaker, instead does what she is told to do
Delora Zann
- is very upset about the developments
- wanted to verify your facts
- told that she gave the copy of Koth's map to a knight to be delivered to Brindol
Kellin Shadowbanks
- asks did you really see the army
- asks did you got any dragon scales from Ozyrrandions corpse
- is happy that you killed the manticore of the Red Hand horde
- will let everyone in the town to know everything he has heard from you
Developments
- Norra Winston promises to meet with the town elders and summon you up in a meeting with them tomorrow.
